AT835 as boom mike

Hello Everyone

Got my DVX100AE ( It is now called DVX102 ) a month ago. purchased a Century Optics mattebox for it. Now I'm thinking of acquiring the AT 835 as boom mike. Is it a good mike to go.

I've used it as a boom mic and think it's fine in quiet conditions. I'm trying to find a rycote or blimp for it though for outdoors use. How do you like the century mattebox? I've narrowed it down to century or the chrosziel.....

It is a fine mic, and I have personally tested it. However, you may also want to consider the shorter AT897 because it is a little easier to use mounted in the DVX's mic holder (Doesn't stick out as far.)
