AT4073a - Where to get?

Looking into purchasing the AT4073a after reading some of the favorable reviews here on this board. But, I've seen a ton of postings listing it for $530.....but I can't find any prices anywhere near that. The lowest price i've found is $679, and that's well above the m66/k6.

where's everyone seeing these fabulous prices? Am I missing something? is that the overseas price or something?

Click "add to cart" at B&H and they're $530.

Shipping anywhere in the US will be around $10.

If you want an XLR and a really crappy mount get the kit for $550.

The XLR is good and the mount will get you by... but you'll eventually throw out the mount... still it's just as good a deal as the mic alone.

The MAP on that mic is $679. That is the minimum price that dealers are allowed to advertise at. Dealers can sell it for whatever they want. I have to say $530 is a great price (literally just a few bucks above cost). I tend to not sell that mic that cheap because I usually have to show people how to hook it up to their system, and all that jazz, and that takes time.

that's really cheap , the local dealer ask over the grand here ( that's include 15 % tax on mikes we have in Israel ) , with the tax or with out its still a robbery

Equipment Emporium is only $550 for it... they must be barely making it on that mic.

Now are you understanding why I say the me66 is such a screw compared to the 4073a?

me66 = $450

4073a = $530

Having used both extensively... and OWNED both... there's NO comparison in those mics. Zero.
