Hi, I'm looking into finally getting some audio equipment for my GL1 and after hearing that the AT4073A is an industry standard in the film bizz, I looked at B&H and noticed the AT4071A was more expensive. I know that price doesn't always mean quality but just going on typical consumer common sense, the more expensive one should have something the other doesn't. But with mics I know that isn't always the case, so what's the difference between these two?
I plan to make movies, not too much videography (ie. weddings, documentary, ect.) but I never know. So I need a microphone that will be good in both indoors and outdoors and be of the highest quality without busting the $1000 mark per mic since I'm planning on getting two.
Also, would it be necessary to get the phantom power supply accessory? I'm going to buy the Beachtek DXA-8 for the GL1 and I don't want to blow it out if these particular mics ask for too much power. I'm also going to get boompoles, so would the Sennheiser MZS20-1 Combo Mount/Grip/Stand work with it?
