AT U100 Wireless

Since AT just replaced the U100 wireless with the 1800 series dual channels, I found pretty good deals on the U100s. They're true-diversity and have TA5 plugs on the transmitters so the lavs wouldn't need to be re-wired on the step up to lectro. Has anybody had any experience with these, good or bad? Being in the same price range as the G2 with diversity and a metal chassis, seems good on paper.

I was doing some searching and didn't find much info about the AT stuff, except buy a G2 or Lectro (probably a hint). Aside from the auto-scan of the G2 the biggest difference is the output power (10 vs. 30mW)? Is that the main reason to go with the G2? Looking at the schematic the AT would be relatively easy to modify past 30mW and it has the diversity receiver.

Oh, and AT and lectro have the same mic wiring as per the diagrams.

Absolutely (well, with some help from my buddies). I have 2 good friends that are both electrical engineers, one has a degree from CalTech. My background is in computer engineering so the electronics are easy. I figured since these are cheap enough, I went ahead and ordered one to play around with. If anybody is interested in the outcome I can post it. My pro friend has Lectro 200 and 400 series wireless so I can test them against those, at least for range.
