Hello, I am new to this board and was wondering if someone could help me out.
I have a Canon XL1S and GL2 (with XLR-adapter) with standard boom poles and currently have Azden SGM1X and SGM2X microphones...yes, I know Azden is terrible.
So, I was wondering which of the three (AT-897 or SGM-1000 or NTG-2) would be best for outdoor shoots in light wind conditions. Most of the shooting will involve two to four people in a stationary position and I am looking to pick the one that will best be able to boom and capture dialogue while reducing the surrounding area sounds.
Also, I was thinking the best move indoors would be to purchase a lav mic. But if I do not, which of the three might be best for an indoor shoot?
Thanks,
Tyler
