Assia Tripod Anybody?

Its price is not 124. any longer. Now it's 169.99 and free shipping. John, did you pay shipping when you bought it?

I understand ...

I understand ...

I eventually plan on getting either a Sachtler DV-6 SB II on Miller Solo legs or a Cartoni Focus.

I just don't have the funds to make that purchase now. So I am compromising to get acceptable performance :)

I've had cheap tripods before and in fact have 3 of them in storage ... just in case! I've found that you can't get cheap on a tripod. There is a world of difference shooting with the 503 and something like the Miller DS 10/20 head. It's those long shots that kill you! I'd save up and spend the money if you really want smooth pans and tilts! Just my 2 cents worth of experience!

Would the cheaper leg version work for shooting with a DSLR?

My canon 7d is to heavy for my $12 still camera tripod that i got back when i had the much lighter nikon D50.

I dont have budget to spend a ton. School had some badass manfrotto video things that they usually use for Canon XL series, but i just cant afford a $500 tripod setup.

Im thinking of getting this the same head with the smaller legs is $76 and maybe another $35 to get the dolly while im at it.
