Hi,

I recieved my Aspectcorrect "stickers". I placed one directly on the LCD screen. Do you guys leave it on there? Will it leave a residue behind?

I will use the stickers in Tanzania, and it will become hot!

What do you advise?

Thanks,

Maarten

I leave mine on. don't know how it will respond to hot weather in Tanzania. I use it in Seattle, mainly cooler weather. I've used it in Hawaii and didn't see any thing wrong with leaving it on in 90 degree weather. It doesn't have a sticky back, i think it uses static to keep itself on there. I've taken mine off a few times and haven't had a sticky problem.

I used it in 102' weather the other day, all day, pealed it off to clean my lcd when i got home. No worries, no residue, you'll be fine.

ive posted this before and ill post it again.

Dont spend money, just do this

Open a new project folder, make a 16x9 and a 2.35:1 project ( 720x270 )

play something back through your camera, take a sharpie and mark the edges where the line begins and use elastics aroudn your camera.

Much easier than ordering something and can take all of 2 minutes to do.

Thanks guys,

I made my own plasticsheet thing, worked, but the sticker looks alot more pro!Elastic, looks a bit cheap i guess, but will work!

You could also turn on 16:9 and use the bars to mask off the screen with some scotch tape. Still see-thru enough to see image. Then turn off 16:9. Voila!

Ghetto, sticky, cheap, but it works.

only problem with that is you cant see the framing just above and below your 16x9 framing, which is why just having the lines there helps with framing.

You can buy lo-tack printable "window sticker" kits at Office Max/Depot etc, cheap and printable. not very sticky..

Personally I wasn't so impressed with this product because when I got mine and got ready to use it seemed to be a little cloudy and putting on the lcd just decreased sharpness to the point where focusing became an issue.
Anyone else feel the same.

@ralph

It is cloudy, im a bit dissapointed! But i leave it on there. Maybe i will switch to scotch tape, i hope it wont stick after intens sunny african day!

why wont people try my elastic band trick. im telling you ther are ZERO problems.
