I am exporting 30 and 60 second spots to a local cable network (Comcast). My workflow has been to piece together my sequence in Premiere (CS 5.5) and paste it into a Comp in After Effects (CS 5.5). The reason for this is because I need to convert my original timeline (1080P 23.976) to one of the networks compatible formats in 1080i 29.97. The best choice being an Avid DNxHD codec which I couldn't find in PP until recently. The station tested the conversion and it all works. This was proven last Friday during the US Open when they ran a spot I converted from a 720P 23.976 timeline to 1080i 29.97 per their specs.
Anyway, I went digging and found the Avid codec in Premiere which in theory would eliminate the need to go to AE. But when I go to the export settings it shows the source footage as 1920x1080 but the Output footage will be 1920x 1280. Where did the extra 200 pixels come from? When I do this in AE it exports as 1920 x 1080.
Do I enter the dimensions in manually? I even tried switching the aspect settings but it doesn't change the Output dimensions. At least not before exporting.
Thanks for any help.
