aspect ratio for web QT progressive download

So I have a 16:9 24p clip that I want to put it on a website as a quicktime progressive download. I'm using Squeeze 4.0. When I import my clip, the video looks thin and tall. I know the 16:9 pixel ratio is 1.2, but for web it's 1. That's why it looks squished vertically in Squeeze. So can I convert this non square pixel clip into a square QT clip for web viewing without looking at squeezed images? I use Premiere Pro 1.5. Is there anything special I need to do in Premiere before using Squeeze?

I would like to output this QT clip as a wide screen format kinda like those movie trailers. But I don't know how this is done and what setting I should use. Can anyone help?

I have no idea why QuickTime doesn't support non-square pixels, but to deal with it you just have to find the matching clip resolution.
For instance, in case of regular SD video the aspect ratio is .9, with the 720x480.
To make the image look normal, we can either use 720x540 or 640x480.
As to 16:9 video, after dividing 480 by 1.2, we get 400, which is what you can use for the final resolution. You can calculate the smaller resolutions using some of the Math 10 skills.

I think I've figured out how to output to QT. I simply used QT small format 320x240 with square pixels, and Premiere letterboxed my 16x9 clip. So the final clip is 320x240, but with two black bars on the top and bottom. This is totally fine with me.

But thanks for your reply. I was thinking about doing that too.
