As the industry changes we're seeing DPs getting work at younger ages, and doing more projects per year (in addition to the availability of tools that allow us to practice freely in our down time). That should theoretically speed up the pace at which one could generate a body of work that warrants entry to the ASC. I would expect the average age of entrants to go down a bit over the next decade.
