Hi guys,
I have a cheap miniDV camera I'm using to transfer some footage onto my PC by Firewire (information I got from an extremely helpful RGBaker in an earlier thread). I'm using Premiere Pro to capture, but the same problem occurs in Scenalyzer; the output .avi files have some digital 'artifacts', like small clusters of garbled pixels which come and go for a split second sporadically (2-30 seconds between occurences).
This doesn't occur on the LCD screen on the camera, nor on the TV when composite AV cables are used. Any idea what the problem could be and how to remedy it?
Another problem is interlacing in the video, which occurs moderately with motion. Is this burned into the tape, or is there something I can do to eliminate this?
Many thanks in advance.
