Articulated Mic Stand ?

I'm all googled out with no luck. :P

Where can I find info on the kind of mic booms that are seen on ESPN sports talk radio or on IMUS. It's the kind of boom that suspends the mic, and you see the speaker grabbing and pulling on them, and they stay where they are pulled to. They don't appear to have a single boom arm, but are built with two smaller tubes. Almost looks like the bones in your forearm, for lack of the correct term. They look like an articulated monitor stand almost. I'm guessing that they can be clamped on the edge of the table. I've got a desk lamp with the same type of look. Any help appreciated.

Well, if it were me, I'd hook up my mic to my desk lamp. But then, I build my own zippers

I found what I was looking for.  Here is the link if anyone else is interested.[/quote]

And turn it upside-down, strap it to your chest, and use it as a stabilizer arm for your SteadyTracker, Glidecam, whatever. :)
