I want to experiment with video lighting using the 5dmk2 for video side, but also be good to try use for some high iso stills if its possible.
I really like the high contrast, deep shadow setups to create alot of mood.. Looking at the arri lights, they tend to give this sort of look with alot of control, especially useful for small places to experiment within. Looking at examples, it tends to be good on skin and not leave harsh spotlighting..

Is this just a characteristic of arri/fresnel lights, or can this style be duplicated using other types of lights.
