arriflex framerate waster!!!

okay, i have an arri and when switching from, say, 24 to 32 fps youve actually got to look at the tachometer while shooting until it hits 32, which wastes a lot of film. is there any way around this??

The variable speed motor has engravings on the barrel you turn to adjust speed. Figure out which one is the one for 32 f.p.s.

Find a Tobin Crystal Sync motor where you just set the frame rate and the camera runs at that rate, no guesswork. Or do Chuck's method.
