Arri T1 Vs. T2 - how much brighter?

How much brighter would an Arri T2 be compared to a T1? I did read somewhere that when you double wattage you get only one stop of light more, though I'm not sure that's the truth, or at least the entire story. I used to have an Arri T1 but it wasn't quite powerful enough for what I was using it for. It was ALMOST there, but not quite. Next step up is the T2 so I'm hoping that one will be 'just right' and not overpowering.

I'm having trouble finding it because I'm on my phone, but search google for photometrics of these units. That will tell you the foot candle output of each of these lights at different distances and then from there you can see how much brighter it really is. All you have to know is a doubling of footcandles = 1 stop.
