Arri Softbank IV Kit

I will be renting this kit soon, and wanted to know do the lights in the set up have outlets that plug into the wall (like a normal socket), or how does that work exactly? I'm really new to this, but I will have gaffer working with me. Any response is welcomed, thanks for your time.

Hi James,
I too have an Arri IV kit. The 120 volt version has normal plugs that will fit any household outlet. Beware of your amperage limits. Most household circuits can handle 15amps. That is roughly 1500 watts. The IV kit has nearly twice that. You'll need to either split the kit up and plug into outlets that have separate circuits or get a dryer/oven outlet converter or generator.

Also be careful not to close the vents on the chimera when using it on the Arri 1k.

Especially the top flap/vent.
The Arri IV kit is one of the best choices for an all around kit. Good luck on your shoot.
