Arri MFF-1 and the best gear for still lenses?

I've searched for hours on end on here and elsewhere with conflicting information (or information I cannot understand). So now I turn to you for help.

Does anyone know what is the best ARRI gear I can put on the MFF-1 for use with still lenses with short focus throws?

Just read on a old reduser thread that the best gear is the "Gear 2 - Prime Lenses" gear and that it results in a 2:1 ratio which is not great. Is there a new gear that does a better job?

Looks like the Arri MFF-2 might have a better gear to knob ratio. I know it comes in a 1:1 "HD" version.

So unless there's a new version of the MFF-1 or a new gear I don't know about I guess I just answered my own question.
