I now have two computer monitors (19 and 17), in addition to a b'cast monitor. The 19 inch is on the left. How would you arrange canvas, browser, viewer, timeline, toolbar, etc across the two? Know of any articles about this? Thanks.
There's presets in FCP for Dual Screen Editing & Color Correction, so that would be a good place to start. From there you can tailor things to your tastes. I usually like to keep the project bin open on one screen and everything else in another. Sometimes I'll drag filter parameters to my second screen, but usually I keep it only for the bin.
I have my browser on the left and my time line, viewer and canvas on the right. That way I can see all my clips in the browser (and i often work with a lot of clips). But arrange them how you feel comfortable.
BTW I am working with two 23 inch cinema displays.
