Anyone have experience using these? How do they compare to other LED panels?
A friend has recommended them and I'm doing research.

They are both excellent.
The Cineo Maverick is quite a bit smaller but has ridiculous output for the size.
The Area 48 soft has a nice soft key as well, is larger, and is built like a tank.
I've used the Cineo HS fixtures, and I think they're great. The only problem for me is that the low end dimming cuts out at about 10%. That means you can't get a good fade up from 0.
Christian Hibbard, LD for Jimmy Kimmel Live, recommended the Area 48s to me as an alternative to the Cineo. I haven't seen them in person, but he has. He said if he were lighting the Kimmel stage from scratch again, he would go for the Area 48 in stead of the Cineo HS, both for cost and the low-end dimming.
Remote phosphor is a different, more advanced technology and Chinese companies might have not caught up yet. But it will happen, for sure+1 for the Area 48. A wonderful source that i use all the time, never had an issue with it and the light quality is sublime (and i'm not fan of LEDs in general)
I'm *very* surprised there aren't lots of copycats, the tech doesn't seem that hard either.
cheers
Paul
