Are these monitors any good?

I'm using a trinitron right now from 2000, but it is going full bright and on its last leg. Is NEC a decent brand? Oh, btw, I prefer CRT as I play games and do not like the ghosting that comes along with the low to mid end LCD screens. Any input on this monitor would be great as I'd like to get a new one before this one dies or i go blind from looking at it. Thanks!!!

i don't know the model but I've sold NEC monitors and the brand is right up there with sony. I believe "multisync" is trinitron technology or similar. they have a good image and are reliable.

Do a search on the Web for reviews of this model before you purchase it. NEC is a good make but I always do my research before making a pruchase.

NEC bought Packard-Bell a few years ago, so you can't base the evaluation of current NEC products on the reputation they (deservedly) earned years and years ago... today's products might be repackaged P-B's, and P-B never had a very good reputation. So evaluate that particular model on its own merits, regardless of how other NEC products have performed in the past.

hi,
I own a Samsung 22" SyncMaster 1200NF, which uses the exact same components. Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2040U , Samsung 1200NF, and this NEC model are basically the same monitors.
NEC(Nippon Electronic Company) is owned by Mitsubishi.
Anyway, I am very happy with my monitor,
but don't believe what it says here.
"Amazing Resolution!
Up To 1920 x 1440 @ 50 to 76 Hz"
You can only get 1600X1200 @ 85Hz.

beside that, it is an exellent monitor.
I cannot believe how cheap it is now.
I paid over 1000 dollars when I bought it 4 years ago.
4 years old, and still going strong.
