Are there any Lenses for the DVX?

Besides a few optics and the Anamorphic lense adapter, are they're any available lenses.

I am still new at this digital video. I use to work with an Arriflex 16BL. And on the Film camera you can interchange many different lenses to get different Depth of Field. That was cool. Besides the Zoom Lense on the DVX100A, are they're any lenses I can mount on????

I heard and read a few info on the Mini 35. But do you really need that whole rig to adapt a lense?

Thanks guys,

And Barry Green, I am looking forward to your answer.

Well I'm not Barry, but I can tell you that this is one of the things that draws people to the XL2, is the interchangable lenses. Unfortunately, we as DVX owners do not have a lot of options, unless we go Mini 35. It's quite expensive though, I remember Barry trying to get a project off the ground for a new Mini 35 set up, don't know if that ever went through though.

No, never did, stillborn as so many of them have been.

The DVX has add-on lens accessories that include a .3x ultra fisheye, a .5x fisheye, .6, .7, and .8 wide-angle adapters, an anamorphic adapter, and a 1.6x teleconverter.

And then you can use the mini35 and get 35mm movie-camera lenses. The mini35 is about $10,000.

Hey TC,
Thanks for the reply and you info.

Hey Barry,
What do you need anyways to get that off the ground? Do you need a metal shop and a welding machine or something to put it together. So far when reading the Mini 35, it's a rig to connect the lens to the camera.

What kind of project was it?

I am interested !

I was trying to interest a camera engineer in building one, and I would try to wrangle sales together to make it worth his time. Although people were interested, he didn't see it as being big enough to bother with. Oh well.
