What is it with male vs female filmmakers? There seems to be a serious imbalance. I wonder why that is. PK maybe you have an idea about this… from another post I read sounds like you are surrounded by them. Do they have any interest in your DVX?
PS: Im a bearded brother so I don’t think you would like to bite JH. (or maybe you would? )

Well, then, welcome to the sausage fest!
I dont really know why there arent more females on this board, or better known in the industry overall. I have not been online here as much as I normally am because I am actually shooting and editing, and when I'm not doing that, I am thinking about it. On this particular project, anyway. I am waiting for a call from a guy about a location right now, so I am killing time in the Cafe.

According to her last thread she is in post editing a very interesting doc: www.hiddenintheheartland.com
I invited one of my friends who is female to this site but I don't see her. I think she is afraid to post something. She also owns a DVX. She told me shes afraid of online stalkers.
hey Thartley do you direct or just shoot and edit? the only female directors i have met are documentary makers. i have worked with women that produce and production manage but never a director.
