Are Panasonic Linear Plus tapes decent?

I'm planning on getting the DVX100A soon, after reading up on threads in DVinfo forums, it dosen't seem like there is a huge difference between these and MQ tapes...

Can anyone provide more insight? ???

I haven't heard anything about Linear Plus, but I wouldn't recommend using them. Has a Panasonic rep confirmed that they're dry lube? Even if they were, I'd stick with the MQ's--cheap insurance.

I'd like to know wtf these "MQ's" are ???

I have the Panasonic "Linear Plus" tapes you talk about joonysam.

Ahh yes... call me NEW and IGNORANT and DUMB.

And I thought I had read through the manual...

I was given a "MQ" tape in my DVX package..

I've been using Linear Plus ever since I got my DVX.. it's logged 60hrs on it so far.. seems to okay.. (cross my fingers) I hate how all these ppl with their tape paranoia is getting me all paranoid too. >:(

ahaa im so paranoid now after reading the "tape" posts on DVXuser.com :-/
