Are my sequence settings correct?

I'm editing in fcp 5.0. with material I shot at 24pa and I captured it with advanced pulldown.

My sequence settings say I'm editing in a 23.98 timeline and the compression is dv/dvcpro. Compression is at its highest. But under advanced it says interlaced. in the one box. When I change it to progressive it doesn't seem to affect the look of the timeline or how it plays. Should I leave it on interlaced like I've been editing with it thus far or should it be on progressive.

Also if my t.v. doesn't support progressive then my dvd with progressive button on it won't work will it. It seems to split the screen into two images, one on the right one on the left.

Thanks

In your sequence settings you want to selct the preset DV NTSC 48 KHz - 23.98. In the advance settings window, Interlaced should be on.

Yes, you need a progessive tv to view progressive images.

Hope that helps.
