are HDTV's still worth selling? Looking to upgrade to 4k Displays

I am saving my money to upgrade my equipment to 4k and or 8k depending on my budget. As part of that I'm going to need some different display monitors. At this rate it looks like I won't have the money saved till another year. Does anyone here think it will make sense for me to sell my HDTV Displays? Will anyone by then still be using them or will HD become obsolete at this point?

Is this for work or home? If you're buying something for your house, I'd buy 4K. The prices have plummeted and HD monitors are being replaced/phased out on the consumer side and pretty soon the only thing available will be 4k+ displays. But on the pro side, 4K displays are still pricey and honestly aren't necessary for use in the field. I've done several 4K/UHD shoots over the last two years and field monitoring has been in HD. I shot on a 4K shoot for the Super Bowl last year and we monitored both cams(F55's) on a 17" 1080 monitor and I had a 7.7" 720P on my camera.

HD monitors obsolete by next year? No.

It would be for my film business.

Can I color correct and color grade a 4k video on a 1080p Monitor or will I not see it right?
