I have an Archos--the old one (604 series), and I love it!
Good point.I would be concerned that it is not a dedicated device for video recording, the FireStore is engineered just for what it does and it does it good. With all those other features i would be worried about software problems and load problems causing the footage to not record/ or have breakups.
I just ordered a DR-HD100 (for my JVC HD110u) and i think its worth every penny.
But i could see the Archos used for playback on location. I just would not trust mission critical footage to a device that is not made just for that.
Surprisingly well. The browser, a special version of Opera, has several formatting modes so web content isn't butchered, a la cell phones. However, it lacks plug-ins like Shockwave and Flash (no YouTube!), and it can be rather slow, but they fixed that on the new model...I think. How well does that thing work with the internet?
