Archos 400&DVX100A

Sort of, but not that you'd want to. I've got an AV500 and while you could do it, the screen is nowhere near the quality you'd need to do accurate monitoring.

You'd use the A/V cable, and plug into the composite out port, and then put the archos in DVR mode to start monitoring.

But seriously, it would only be vaguely useful for framing, it will be useless for contrast/color/focus/exposure.

Ok so the cords that came with it to hook it up to a DVD player or w/e...you take one of them and take the headphone-like input and put that in the Archos and the S-Video cables into the DVX? I'm still not geting the device to respond! do i put the Device in TV mode or......:)

I don't know... it should be working. You have the component cable disconnected, right? s-video and composite are shut off when the component cable is plugged in.

Should be working. I don't know where my archos cable is, but I'd try it if I could lay hands on it. You've got the camera turned on, obviously, and seeing a signal on its LCD, yes? Then it should be also outputting to the archos...

hm.....So when I want to get a signal i go into the "Videocorder" app on the archos right? Cause thats what i have been doing! Or should i hit the LCD/TV button? Yes i have full power to my DVX.

Ok i got it to work, But it(the Archos) had to be pluged into The UFO shaped base thing and pluged into the wall for power which bites! O well, thanks for devoting your time with me on this Barry:)
