Archiving your films.

Good evening!

I do apologise about my first post being a survey, however it's a necessary evil!

I'm a film student from Birmingham (UK), and I'm currently undergoing a project regarding archiving digital images. If you could spend 30 seconds filling out a few simple questions about how you look after your projects I would be hugely appreciative.

Thanks in advance!

Mike.

(I do hope this is the appropriate place within the forum)

Wondering what type of responses you received about archiving footage, what media did most use, DVD, Sd cards, zip drives, or hard drives..............I recently had a hard drive crash and lost some very important footage, I had all but one file backed up on another drive before it quit........ Now looking for solutions to long term archiving that is safe, inexpensive and most of all Reliable.

At this time, LTO is still one one of the best and least cost/Gb. I make two copies in two different locations.
