Archiving Projects?

Well for most of my stuff I burn a full rez version, and keep the project file onto DVDs. But I have had a client call me five months later looking to do work on there video. So I have to redigitize the footage, and gather all other sources. I know media manager lets you take all the files, but with some of these things the interview files are too huge to keep the whole thing. Is there a setting in media manager that just keeps the files used with a bit of wiggle room on the clips, or am I dreaming.
Client is asking why I would bill them a whole days rate to make some rather minor changes.

yep. delete unused media and add handles.

if it was me, i'd certainly bill them for a full day when that amount of time has gone by (unless the changes are necessary because i did something wrong the first time around).

The biggest problem is that alot of these clips are from hour long files . DO you make subclips, and if you do, is there an easy way to do that. If I have to go through each progect and make subclips of eeverything, odds are it is not going to happen.

Oh they are paying full rate. It just took explaining to three people there why. "We just want to add a few shots, make some small changes" And here is why. I like to keep my clients happy, but I do not work for free. My wife hates when I dd that.
