Archiving Plugin Equivalent to FCP's Media Manager?

Hi guys, it's been a while since I've been on here, but I thought this would be just the place to ask.

Does anyone know of a workflow technique or a 3rd-party plug-in that allows me to accomplish something like FCP's Media Management?

That is, I have a project I want to archive economically, but I want to be able to go back later and re-render, or touch up the edit a little bit. I want all of my source footage to be deleted except for the portions of the clips I used on my sequences (plus a few seconds of handle).

Am I totally out of luck?

The equivalent tool is Project Manager it is under the Project Menu. It is built in and works just like FCP's Media Manager.
