I just noticed this new product from Aputure. It's a nice step into the arena of wireless video transmitters.
It's cheap and compact (but quite ugly IMO).

If it's as reliable as their DEC, I will buy it in a heartbeat.

Power connectors don't lock in place, might be a flaw.

Wow looks like an interesting option, really nice that it takes small batteries for internal and external power options with long battery life. Looks like bh has them in store! Might have to buy there and test it out since if they don't live up to expectations it'll be nice to be able to return it easily...

What's with the clear plastic though, really strange cheap look for pro camera gear... Might have to cover them in black gaff if they are worth keeping.

i dont know exactly what it means but cheesycam says its directinal radio and not omni. the receiver and transmitter have to be in line

Yeah just saw that. Nevermind this thing then. It also says you can't move the camera and is 80m range but will disconnect at 39m...
Those are completely ridiculous limitations that basically make it useless for all possible use cases.

It is an incredibly limited use device, more applicable to installations than anything else. Good way to get a signal to a video projector mounted on the ceiling. I will credit Aputure with absolute honesty as to the limitations of the device. In the past others have fudged the performance of wireless transmitters, with a lot of unhappy customers in the wake.
