Aputure Amaran replacement case (lights/batteries/power bricks are heavy)

Just got a set of 3 672s in a case. The case is great but with lights in it is heavier than my lilliput 650 kits (with stands/dimmers) and this is not including the stands. It's also as big when you include stands. The batteries and power bricks all add weight. Don't get me wrong, I love the kit but sometimes I don't want to take all the lights. I would have rather had the lights in separate bags so I could decide what to take but the kit of 3 is very good value (way less than 2/3 the price of two).

As Aputure do not seem to sell bags on there own has anyone found any alternative (not too expensive) Bags. Would love to get a couple.

No specific model to recommend, but a small laptop case would probably be good for a 672 and a few accessories. I don't like having to remove the stand clamp from mine every time I store them, so a bag big enough to leave that in place (folded over) would make sense. The Amazon Basics line has some decent simple cases at very cheap prices.

I've just gone the other way, consolidating four lights and all the associated bits in a single bigger bag. It's more convenient for me, but horses for courses!

Yes, I cam to the same conclusion. It seems the are equivalent to a 12" laptop case so i ordered one. Problem with buying online is its difficult to see how good the padding is. The Genuine Dell ones tend to be very well padded. I friend of a friend had one come of the back of a motorbike, going a fair speed, and the laptop was OK.
