Applying Effects to Take and not Clips

So i have all these shots/takes that i am using in my project. And each shot/take has been cut into many clips on the timeline.

I do not want to color correct or apply effects to individual clips because that will be very time consuming. I want to apply the effects to the Take itself.

How can i accomplish this? There has to be a way to do it faster, either on each take or all clips from each take once.

Export the clip with FX applied. (This become an intermediate.)

or

Nest the clips in a new Sequence and apply the effect to it.

Allegedly CS4 has a better solution to applying FX.
