OTHER: Apple's proposed modular camera system

"Shoot a movie on your iPhone" always seemed like marketing nonsense to me.

Though, to be fair, this particular thing sort of reminds me of the first days of the DVX100 when real 24 fps shooting was within everyone's grasp, and the guerilla squads went out in force with inexpensive gear.

But pretty much everyone moved on from guerilla style and up to better cameras and equipment.

In other words, this seems geared toward the entry-level guerilla mindset and mavens of 24-hour film festivals. Does that market exist anymore? Is it anywhere near as large as when the DVX100 rolled around?

Just in time to get their RAW recording in them in 2028+.

They should have been making cinema cameras a long time ago, it seemed like they always had interest in them.

Considering what a sack of junk our current cameras are (in the 2025 connectivity front) its obvious that someone will kill them.

I was just thinking about this recently. People who maybe would have been into guerilla filmmaking back then are just "content creators" now for very niche audiences, it seems to me anyway.
