Apple's Color & new iMacs -any chance?

Hi.

I was wondering if the new Core 2 Duo iMac will work with Apple's new Color application?
I know Motion has some issues with Intel's GMA 950 graphics card (that all iMacs have), but how does Color cope with it?

Does anyone have any experience with iMacs and the new FCS2 bunch? Any issues that might have occured with the programs on iMac?

Thanks for any advice,

Check out the FCS2 Requirements page for the color related requirements.

The standard graphics card in any Mac Pro, 17-inch MacBook Pro, 24-inch iMac with Intel Core Duo, or 2.5GHz or faster Power Mac G5 Quad:
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600
ATI Radeon X1600
NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT, 7600 GT, 7300 GT, 6600, or Quadro FX 4500
A display with 1680-by-1050 resolution or higher
A three-button mouse for full functionality

The ATI Raedon X1900 XT and dual displays w/ 1920x1200 or higher are recommend specifically for color as well.

So just cross reference that with the iMac specs.

cheers.

Works ok- you do lose out on the Kona and AJA options for HD playout. It's not the best solution for color correction- really at all. But it's a decent one to practice until you can move up to a desktop machine.

I have not used color much (I have the 24" Intel Core 2 Extreme, ATI Radeon 2600 PRO 256) but it works. Used to have a powerbook G4, so yeah...
