I have been waiting patiently since NAB for Motion to arrive- and today it's here...YEAH!!!
BUT! They also released the "Production Bundle" Which includes the Final Cut 4 HD upgrade, full DVDSP3, and Motion for only $699. That's a GREAT deal!
The problem is that if you recently bought the FCP 4 HD upgrade and full DVDSP3 (Like I did) even as late as this last week- You spent up to $800 combined for the two WITHOUT Motion (for $100 more)!
I just called Apple to see if anything could be done to rectify matters- they said nope sorry! They felt my pain but there is nothing they can do. That they would log my frustration....thanks. (yeah right...there's nothing they can do)
So the long story short is that if I now buy Motion- I'll have spent $1100 for what they just announced you can get for $699 (A $400 difference!).
It's funny that they announced back at NAB the price for Motion would be $299 but no mention that it could also be purchased as a package with FCPHD upgrade and DVDSP3 for $699. If they had, I would have waited- as would most everyone else who recently bought these things would have. Duh!?! It's not like these things have been out that long! DVDSP3 just came out not even two months ago!
It's frustrating to be one of the honest paying customers of Apple products and get this type of response. Hopefully enough response to this will change their minds & give those of us who actually pay for their products a break!
Thanks for listening.
