Apple Computer will hold a special event in San Jose next week, the second such event in just over four weeks. The invitation sent out on Tuesday by Apple shows closed theater curtains with the words “One more thing…” written on top. Those familiar with Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ keynote speeches will instantly recognize the use of Jobs’ “One more thing” catchphrase, which is often used to indicate a blockbuster announcement. There was no indication on what would be announced at the event.

The event held in September saw the introduction of the iPod nano and the Motorola Rokr phone.

Go ahead, Mac Haters... throw your rocks. :)

an ipod that plays video is in the works and they are updating the mac mini, rumors of updates for the powerbook and powermac are also circulating.

INT - SAN JOSE THEATRE - NIGHT

The red curtain is parted by a hand, and out onto the stage steps STEVE JOBS, dressed in black. He is greeted by applause as he steps up to the microphone before him.

JOBS
One more thing... As of December, all Apple
computers will be shipping with Intel CPU's!

The crowd break out into applause. The hackers in the back row smile at one-a-nother.

JOBS (Cont'd)
But that's not all! We are also moving over
to a more reliable, efficient operating system

JOBS hits a button on a remote control he is holding. The curtain behind him falls to the ground revealling an Apple Mac running... Windows XP!!!

A woman in the audience screams and faints. Shouts of disapproval fly from the now angry mob.

JOBS (Cont'd)
Microsoft Windows!

Tomatoes fly toward the stage from the crowd, then eggs, stone's, spears and petrol bombs. Each projectile is vapourised in mid-air by the lazers mounted on the hover-bots that have flown onto the stage and now circle JOBS.

JOBS steps forwards, his eyes now seem to be glowing red, his voice raising in pitch like the crazy judge at the end of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit."

JOBS (Cont'd)
That's right! No one can stop me now,
the world is MINE!!! Whahahahaha!!!

JOBS reaches to his face and grasping the skin on the underside of his chin rips up hard. His skin parts from the skull, but instead of the expected gory mess beneath, another, geeky, specticled face is revealled - that of Bill Gates!

GATES
Whahahahahaha!!! WAHAHAAHA!

FADE TO BLACK

hahaha funny stuff. Like Hell on earth.

Here's a "leaked" cellcam shot of the supposed iPod Video. Take it for what it's worth.

This has already been proven to be a fake.

Apparently, it's a screenshot of the Toshiba Pocket PC startup screen + some low light + some bad photoshopping. At any rate, we should expect a Video Ipod soon. However, I can't see why Apple would do another presentation for ANOTHER Ipod only a few weeks after the Nano presentation. It's most likely a Powermac, Powerbook update. We know for a fact those have been in the works for awhile. My 2 cents. We shall see.

Pretty good confirmation of what is to come:

October 5, 2005 - Select members of the industry and media received invitations Tuesday from Apple to a special event taking place one week from today at the California Theater in San Jose. The event, Think Secret has learned, will not usher in the much rumored video iPod but rather new PowerBook and Power Mac systems............etc. etc.

They'd better dump a powerbook or i'm gonna take down my stevie posters in my bedroom.

Powerbook seems pretty imminent at this point. I personally want the new Dual Core G5 or G6 or what-the-heck ever it's going to be called.
