Just realized QTime X doesnt have "Open Image sequence" . Went to apple and no QT X pro option either.
So how on earth are we supposed to do Timelapse videos from stills?
If I install QT 7 again is it gonna create conflict in MAC OS 10.6?

Thanks Apple, I m really looking forward to the day a company manufactures a legal hardware to run FCP...

QT7 is on the install disc that comes with your Mac, under the folder "optional installs." It works perfectly in 10.6 alongside the new version. Nothing to get too worked up about.

Thanks Stephen,
I guess I was frustrated because I am in a time crunch here on a sunday, and surprised that a new mac pro app offering much less comparing to prev. version???
I could have use FCP too, but you know how time consuming rendering high rez images there...

Yeah, I hear you. The first time I fired up 10.6 and went looking for QT7 I wasn't a happy camper.

But just re-load it from the master disc and you'll be good to go.

Is it possible to have Quicktime 7 as the default player for everything? If possible I would like to remove QT x all together. Any thoughts?

QT X is an integral part of the OS. Remove it at your own peril. And yes, you can make everything open with QT 7 by default. GET INFO on one QT movie...change the OPEN WITH to QT 7...and then use the option CHANGE ALL.

I did the optional QT7 install. It is accessed through: the Applications -> Utilities folder. As the OP's have said, it works perfectly along side QT X ... just reload it from the master disc.

Thanks, optional install did work for me too. Took me a while to find its location though, naturally first place I looked for it was the applications folder...
Whats utilities got to do with it ;)
