Apple Script or Automator?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to create a script or automator to do a "Save All" when FCP is running. Or maybe someone has already made one. I think it would be useful because instead of have FCP create auto save files the script would auto save to the file you already have. Kinda of like how Avid does the auto saving when working.
Maybe it isn't possible but it's an idea I think. I tried to do it but I don't know enough about automator or scripting. Thanks

Never Mind, someone on apple's forum helped me out.

If anyone else is interested here is the script to to a save all in FCP while working.

here is the posters original post:

"You can try this Applescript:

on idle
activate application "Final Cut Pro"
tell application "System Events" to tell process "Final Cut Pro" to keystroke "s" using option & command down
return 5 * 60
end idle

copy / paste that into the Script Editor but when you save it you've go to do TWO crucial things. You must save it out as an "Application" - not JUST a script. And too, you need to check the little box to "Stay Open".

Right now this is set to save every 5 minutes. You can change the number 5 in the script to how ever many minutes that you want.

Too, not that this is only going to do a "Save All" as you can see it's triggering a key command to virtually push the "S" key while holding command. If you want a "Save All" then the script requires modification.

You'd have to remember to launch this new application every time you want to use it with FCP and too you'd have to remember to quit it when you're done. Further in your follow-up post you said that maybe just a reminder to Save would be enough. If so, that's possible as well. Just as simple too. I'll write that script here in a second and append it to this post.

Hope this helps!
