Apple motion dynamic shadows

I am wanting to create a shadow from some text. My motion doc has a background light and camera attached, I am wanting a spotilight to shine of the text and have it reflected on the back wallpaper and as the light moves the shadow would also move, does anybody know how to achieve this without doing it by hand?

I'm having some trouble understanding your question... do you have an example that you saw in another video?

What I can tell you is that Motion's lights are a bit limited... you cannot assign lights to specific layers... every light is global.

it's just two keyframes in AE.
Well, six technocally. Just animate the opacity, distance and burriness.

Very helpful grinner. However I think he may actually have answered your question. I think you need to do some keyframe moves.
