Apple Motion 5 Template to After Effects CC

So I've Googled and found a few things but it seems as though it only works for older versions. I'm trying to get a Motion Template to open in After Effects and I'm not having much luck. Any suggestions?

Motion and After Effects don't use the same format and the native files are not interchangeable. In Motion if you edit the text, add clips to dropzones, etc. then export the Motion Template as a QuickTime movie you could import it into AE and do further things, but the template elements would lose that editability.

Thank you for your reply. I totally get the difference of formats and file versions, I was going back and forth in this thread http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1601347 about tricking After Effects. It worked in CS 5.5, it just isn't working now with the CC version and I thought maybe somebody had another type of workaround.
