Apple f12

so i'm using FCP 5.14 and my program was acting funny, like i'd lose my "effects" tap in my browser window. So someone recommended i should dump by p-list files on fcp, so i did. it worked.... but once i did that i noticed my apple f12 didn't work anymore -- the "full screen" playback was incompacitated.

do i need to reset it? anyone know how?

You can also use FCP Rescue, but you have to trash more than the .plist.
For the F12 button go to Tools>Keyboard Layout from the top menu bar.

Also bear in mind switching to external video using apple F12 wont work if you have a log and capture or log and transfer window open....
