Apple Compressor squishes text!

I know I'm not the only one with this problem.

I export a 16x9 HD sequence from FCP to Compressor. Once completed, the whole video looks fine, but the aspect ratio of the text at the end credits is squished.

If I export from FCP to Quicktime, the text is perfectly fine, so I know it's a Compressor issue (latest version, 3.0.3).

I know of a "work around", where you export to Quicktime first, then take it to Compressor, but I've noticed that the video quality suffers that way. I would rather export directly to Compressor.

Anybody have a solution for the "squished text" bug in Compressor? I searched the forum but found nothing.

Thanks in advance!

Ok. I kinda see your problem here. It's not a compressor issue, it's a human error. You must have a auto 16x9 filter on or something. If it looks fine after you export to a QT fiile then everything is good, but, you must have a setting on or you "accidently" change the ratio or add the wide screen on.

Why don't you tell us step by step of your work flow from starting with:
1.) What is your timeline sequence settings at? (Details)
2.) What are you setting your settings to, in compressor?
3.) You think you can answer questions one and two for me? lol.

J/K about question 3!

cheers,

Murray
