APPCS4 help: Photos placed in timeline are shown zoomed in on preview window

When I drag photos into the timeline, the sequence box or preview box at the upper right shows the picture zoomed in at the middle. I tried messing around with "fit" and zoom control but it only controls the zoomed in image.

Only when I scaled the zoomed in image to 10% was I able to scale it even smaller and fit the entire image to the preview box.

I have a tone pictures to use so please tell me I don't have to scale down every picture. I must be doing something wrong.

If the pictures are so big you will probably have to scale down most of the pictures

You could create a automation action in Photoshop CS4 and just apply it to the whole folder. It wouldn't be too difficult to resize a bunch of images.

Simply copy the Scale attribute of the scaled down picture, drag the others into the timeline and paste the attribute on to them.
