Apparently "The Hurt Locker" has detail issues.

Other failed (thankfully) Dizney adaptations:

The Thin Red Leash
Saving Private Woofie
Robo-dog
Currahound
Mr. and Mrs. Bananas

the list goes on

LMAO... most successful thread-jack ever.

I was just kidding before... but really the working title was The Hurt Sack... which was competing with Iraqi Nuts.

Hate to get all serious on this way too sweet thread. A NFL journalist, Peter King has started this little fund to donate money to a real life unit like this one that is about to deploy AGAIN.
"Peter King and the USO have teamed up to bring this program to as many deployed units as possible, starting with Sgt. McGuire and his brave men. Let’s help them to enjoy some of the comforts we take for granted back home: gaming systems, DVD players, athletic equipment, snacks, furniture, and tons more."

Geez, I should not have read all this because I am looking at the Netflix disk of the Hurt Locker on my couch right now.... Oh well, will keep an open mind when watching it. If nothing else, It will hopefully be entertaining. For the last two years I have been working on a documentary regarding the POW/MIA cause. The film has taken us from Rhode Island to Colorado to Virginia, Washington, D.C, Massachusetts, and CT.

During that time I have been honored to be in the presence of real heroes. Unfortunately 5 months into the film, the principal in the film passed away. He was pretty excited to be in the film but will never get to see it. And, last month, we lost another veteran. A fighter pilot who got shot down over North Vietnam and spent the next 6.5 years as a "Guest" of the Hanoi Hilton. I wish I could tell you folks some of the stories he and the others told. Very riveting and awe inspiring...I will certainly let all of you know when the film is released but for now, just wanted to jump in here and reflect a little on this new film I am about to watch.

It's The Hurt Locker for sound (near and dear to my heart)... so if you got a system to support that screen... apparently this is the movie to test it out.

Congratulations to the sound crew for The Hurt Locker.

When I was in Fallujah, my friends and I used to make fun of guys who were like the characters in this movie. They tried so hard to be "Cowboys." Always trying to look cool, like they were in a John Wayne movie.

You don't go outside the wire on your own and You're not a sniper in the EOD. God, why not just have the soldiers parachute in with a M4 rifle in each hand and a cool catchphrase?

Exactly like I hoped for. Best movie made this year.

I wouldn't say it's a "great" movie, but like I said, the best this year.

Well, since there doesn't seem to be an Oscar thread I guess this is as good a place as any to ask the question...Sandra Bullock:shocked: Best Actress?:shocked:

You know what's hilarious...Avatar probably made more worldwide THIS WEEKEND (its 12th week), than Hurt Locker made worldwide in its entire theatrical run (21 million).
