I doing my first project in color and am sending my corrections back to final cut pro

I am on day number 3 of rendering... is there anyway to stop it and save what I have so far.... I tried quitting the program but nothing seems to work.... short of turning off my computer and I am pretty sure I would lose everything doing that..

i defintely need a number computer this is ridiculous having my computer tied up for a week... the imac just can't hang....

more issues.... file attribute mismatch ??

According to the manual you can pause the rendering by hitting "escape." How long of a project did you send to Color?

thanks! that did the trick i have been learning it on lynda and couldn't figure out how to make it stop... used to the cancel bar in final cut i guess

project is 111 minutes.... multicam concert video... guessing it takes longer since there are so many cuts.... awesome program but defintely gotta get a better machine for these render times

Are you doing the whole project at once or cutting it into 20min or so chunks?

maybe thats the issue

this is turning into a nightmare.... 5 days to wait to render... finally done and now its telling me that files have an unspecified path....

when I reconnect the media I get an error saying that the
attribute mismatch
-reel
-number of audio video tracks

this is defintely not as simple as they make it out to be in the tutorials... what am I doing wrong

and WORST part is when I find the files it doesn't reconnect them all like it ussually does ...so i have to go back maunally and do all 633 of them

Did you prep the timeline according to the manual? No stills, no speed changes, 20min/200 edits at a time, only approved codecs, etc.?
Creative COW has a good Color forum, and one of the community leaders there, Walter Biscardi, has some good tutorials (as well as a very, very good DVD) about getting started w/Color.

I don't know how i didn't catch the time requirements on the videos
probally should have to the manual... i just don't like books

looks like I will just have to spend a few hours manually recconnecting and hopefully things will work
