I have a Canon HV30. I was wondering what other shutter speeds people use other than the usual 24p and 1/48 and 30p 1/60. I just shot some of my project in 24p and Im using a 1/250 shutter speed. I actually really like it.

If you're asking what shutter speeds to use, it depends on what you want your image to look like. Shutter speed primarily effects motion blur, which can have a huge subconscious impact on the viewer. Fast shutter speeds cause more stutter in the video because there is less 'connecting' information in each frame since they are being exposed for shorter times. Slower shutter speeds can make an image flow more smoothly as one frame blends into another from motion blur.
