Anyones copy of Final Cut Studio 2 shipped yet?

[sick boy]

Hey all,

anyones order for final cut studio 2 shipping yet? I noticed they have downgraded the ship date to 2-3 weeks instead of may now.

Eager to get my copy on order

nothing new yet... i ordered april 19th and it still says "ships by may 31, delivered by jun 6"

Amazon is reporting a release date of May 15th, so we shall see.

Amazon took down their release date of May 15th. Looks like it probably won't be shippied til May 31st.

Wonder why they can't be more precise on a release date. Its not as though they are still working on it.

They would have had to finish quite a while back and off to get the disks printed, manuals, packaging etc, then out to the stores. There's probably a pallet load sitting in Amazon right now waiting for the nod to come from Apple to sell them.

And then a week later for free when some idiot puts it on a torrent.

I HIGHLY doubt that... Amazon will ship them as soon as they get the boxes from Apple. I imagine that Amazon just chose the middle of May as an estimate. The time from the announcement to ship date is when they do all of the disc printing, manuals, boxes, etc.

I agree, Amazon doesn't have it yet. Apple would have shipped it if it was ready.
