Anyone using video finder for DSLR?

I've been wanting to use a Sony or Panasonic video viewfinder for my DSLR and was wondering if anyone has built a breakout box for such a task? I'd suppose getting the DSLR video out to the viewfinder as well as a 14.4 volt to DSLR drop down circuit is about all that is needed...

Not wanting to reinvent the wheel I'd love to talk to someone who has done it already.
 
...there is a thread...somewhere...where at least a couple of folks did this. Sorry...can't find it...
