Anyone using the new Compressor 4 with FCP7?

Is anyone using Compressor 4 with FCP7? Is it worth the $50 to upgrade from Compressor 3? I assume it will be faster because of the 64 bit usage. Any thoughts?.

You can still use it alongside X- but only to load up completed QuickTimes and recompress to other formats- it's definitely faster as its now 64-bit. But you can't send a project directly from an FCP 7 timeline into Compressor 4.

Noah, if you have any good tips on burning DVDs without having to re-encode from scratch, that would be great. Compressor has to be the flakiest Apple software I have seen to date. I like FCP X and love Motion, but Compressor usually crashes or has an incomplete encode way too much.

Not sure what you mean by 're-encode from scratch'? What is the source for these DVDs? another DVD or ProREs or???
